Job description

JOB TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Mobile Electrician - commercial

LOCATION: South Gloucestershire

SALARY: £36k Van, phone, ipad OTE £40k

JOB INFORMATION - Electrical Maintenance Engineer/ Mobile Electrician - commercial

Undertaking commercial electrical service and maintenance works for South Gloucestershire Council covering libraries, offices, schools, and other council-owned properties.

Responsibilities:
  1. Planned Preventative Maintenance
  2. Emergency light testing of circa 45 council properties
  3. EV charger testing at various car parks managed by the council
  4. Reactive Maintenance
  5. Supporting wider contract team with reactive call outs (during normal working hours)
  6. Attending to reactive call outs (outside of normal working hours when on the call out rota)
  7. Supporting wider contract team with quoted remedial works and new installations (e.g., distribution board replacements, rewires, and lighting repairs)

This role will suit a candidate who is looking for a long-term opportunity working on local contracts! Van can be used for reasonable personal use. This role has become available due to retirement. Well established and long-serving team - our client has excellent staff retention.

Established over 25 years ago, our client has an excellent reputation locally with long-standing clients. Specialising in all aspects of commercial electrical services including service and maintenance, test and inspection, installations, and commissioning.

CANDIDATE INFORMATION - Mobile Electrician

Recognised industry qualifications in electrical installation are required. Candidates should be able to diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems, replacements, PPMs, upgrades, fire alarms, emergency lighting, consumer units, distribution boards, etc. Experience of working on commercial electrical service and maintenance contracts previously is essential.
