Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £38,000-£42,000
Location: Farnborough - easily accessible from the M3 and surrounding areas
Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:30 - 16:00 / Fri 07:30 - Early Finish
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble, install, maintain, test, and repair a wide range of electrical plant and associated components.
  2. Conduct in-service inspection & testing of electrical equipment (PAT) in line with compliance requirements.
  3. Perform fixed testing as per regulation requirements for all units.
  4. Carry out general commercial electrical maintenance.
  5. Work at height to access warehouse areas for electrical repairs/installations.
  6. Liaise with external contractors for larger electrical projects when required.
  7. Address and resolve any electrical defects identified in external inspection reports.
  8. Undertake breakdown maintenance on facility equipment.
  9. Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation of all facilities equipment.
  10. Utilise tools ranging from common hand & power tools to precision measuring instruments.
  11. Provide feedback on external H&S Compliance reports; organise resolutions and update maintenance schedules.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  1. Qualified in commercial electrical installations: Level 3 City & Guilds (2391, 2394 & 2395)
  2. AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2)
  3. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  4. Demonstrable experience as a commercial electrician.
  5. Experience in building maintenance repairs and the ability to work independently.
  6. Strong understanding of statutory and non-statutory documents.
  7. Familiarity with Guidance Notes 1-8, BS7671 On Site Guide, and BS7671 Regulations.
