Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician

Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0) and benefits (pension, life assurance, join share scheme, training)

Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am till 6pm Permanent Days Only

Location: Commutable from Barton upon Humber, Hull, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Beverley, Immingham and surrounding areas

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to work in a busy factory environment for a large manufacturing company. It would suit someone who is electrically trained and qualified or mechanically qualified but has experience with electrical maintenance and PLCs, enjoys a variety of working and is keen to grow their skills in this growing company. Team fit is very important too; someone who is a team player with strong and clear communication skills is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Focusing on electrical maintenance and installation work across all plant and machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shut downs and project work.
2. Working in a dedicated electrical team, responsible for all electrics across the factory.
3. Identification of solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Support the handover of work to the opposite shift and ensure works are logged and recorded.
5. To work safely at all times and follow safe systems of work.
6. To be actively involved in the TPM improvement process.
7. To work tidily and make a positive contribution to the 5S system.

Requirements

1. Completed a recognised electrical or mechanical engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering Electrical or Mechanical qualifications.
2. Experience of electrical engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment or similar.
3. Worked in a factory environment as a Maintenance Electrician or similar.
4. Any of the following electrical experience would be desirable; 3 phase, star / delta motors, sensors, inverters, PLC fault finding, contactors, relays, servo drives, installations, general maintenance, VSD.
5. Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with the hunger to learn and progress.
6. Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in.
