Role Overview

Electrical Maintenance Technician required for the maintenance of all Farm and Packhouse equipment including line support within a high volume production environment.

This role will suit a self-motivated individual who has a core competence as an Electrical Technician but a keen mechanical aptitude.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be expected to carry out fault finding, PPM's, corrective and reactive works, install and repair electrical and plant and industrial machinery, fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies in the growing and packaging of mushrooms.

Main duties as follows:

1. Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards as a number one priority in accordance with company rules and regulations.
2. Electrical trouble-shooting and repairs to agricultural equipment, HVAC, high-speed packing lines, filling, packaging equipment, hydraulic winch systems and site utilities.
3. Monitor line and machine performance. Work off your own initiative when a fault is detected and decide on action, based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not.
4. Ensure that all equipment preventative maintenance is carried out both efficiently and safely.
5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance documentation, following good documentation practices and keep maintenance management updated on maintenance progress on site.
6. To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including any transit areas to and from the workshop, including the workshop and stores.
7. Update the maintenance management system (CMMS), records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out.
8. Support the production team in achieving targets.
9. To oversee and assist if required, with any third party contractors in carrying out their duties on our site as and when required.
10. Being part of a callout service at weekends, if required.
11. Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
12. Examines drawings and specifications to determine appropriate methods and sequence of operations.
13. Fits and assembles parts and/or metal sub-assemblies across the site electrical equipment.
14. Examines operation of, and makes adjustments to equipment as required.
