Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum + Overtime & Benefits
Hours: 4 on 4 off - 2 Days followed by 2 Nights
Location: Brough Area - Commutable from Howden, Hull, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Brough, York, Market Weighton, Driffield, Knottingley and surrounding areas

This hugely successful heavy plant manufacturing company offers genuinely challenging and rewarding careers for their Electrical Maintenance Engineers. They are currently looking for an additional Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician who wants to be part of an established, loyal and friendly team.

The site prides itself on being self-sufficient, not relying on outside contractors for most projects, so the maintenance teams get fully involved in most of the full lifecycle of work. They also provide training and up-skilling where required (e.g., FANUC Robotics and programming and PLCs - both fault finding and programming), although ideally, you will have some of these advanced skills already.

Responsibilities:
Your role will be to focus on Electrical Maintenance and Engineering work in the factory, including:

1. Supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including motors, conveyors, mixers, kilns, PLC controls and robotics machinery.
2. Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
3. Providing reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.
4. Dealing with VSD Drives and PLCs.

Requirements:
The Electrical Engineer will need to have completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications at C&G or NVQ Level 3 or above.

1. Will be experienced in performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance work within an industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
2. Will have experience of PLCs - interrogating & fault finding using a Laptop and ideally some programming experience to make amendments when required. Additional experience with VSD Drives is highly beneficial.
3. Can diagnose and repair Electrical Motors and Pneumatics.
4. Are open to & willing to learn and develop your skills further, together with sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
5. A friendly, proactive and adaptable attitude to work is essential.
6. Good knowledge of and strict adherence to Health & Safety.
