Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician
Salary: £48,000 per annum + overtime + benefits
Hours: 4 on 4 off - 2 Days followed by 2 Nights
Location: Brough - Commutable from Howden, Hull, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, York, Market Weighton, Driffield, Knottingley and surrounding areas

The site prides itself on being self-sufficient, not relying on outside contractors for most projects, so the maintenance teams get fully involved in most of the full lifecycle of work. They also provide training and up-skilling where required, including FANUC Robotics and programming and PLC's - both fault finding and programming, although ideally, you will have some of these advanced skills already.

This is a shift-based role - 4 on 4 off - 2 Days followed by 2 Nights and would ideally suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment. The ability to work effectively within a skilled team is essential!

Responsibilities

1. Focus on Electrical Maintenance and Engineering work in the factory, including supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery such as conveyors, mixers, kilns, and robotics machinery.
2. Work through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
3. Provide reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly to get production lines back up and running again.
4. Deal with VSD Drives and PLC's.

Requirements

1. Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above.
2. Experienced in performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance work within an industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
3. Experience of PLC's - interrogating & fault finding using a Laptop and ideally some programming experience to make amendments when required. Additional experience with VSD Drives is highly beneficial.
4. Can diagnose and repair Electrical Motors and Pneumatics.
5. Open to & willing to learn and develop your skills further, together with sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
6. A friendly, proactive and adaptable attitude to work is essential.
7. Good knowledge of and strict adherence to Health & Safety.
