Job description

We are actively looking for an Electrical Inspector to join a housing association in Burton area on a contract basis. In return you will receive flexible working, business mileage and additional benefits.


As the Electrical Inspector, you will be:

  1. Assist with the preparation and delivery of Planned and Programmed installation and maintenance contracts in regard to EICR's and electrical rewires, ensuring that compliance, efficiency and high standards are maintained.
  2. Monitor electrical contractor / contract performance, ensuring programmes are adhered to and targets are met.
  3. Review Electrical Certification (DEICR, DEIC) in conjunction with validation of contractors claims for payment.
  4. Undertake site inspections of works in progress, giving advice and assistance to customers ensuring a degree of tenant satisfaction with the service provided.

Qualifications and experience required for this Electrical Inspector role:

  1. Experience working within a social housing setting in a similar role.
  2. Knowledge of EICR reporting and all electrical servicing and surveying.
  3. SSSTS (or SMSTS), 2391 Testing and Inspection, Health and Safety Awareness.
