We are currently looking for experienced and competent Electrical Fitters for a reputable client of ours based in Rugby. Skills in electrical and mechanical installation and wiring in accordance with regulations and specifications. Focused on quality engineering precision.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Manufacturing & Production Manager and having accountability for the electrical or mechanical build for assigned tasks; the individual shall work as part of a team and be responsible for the self-inspection of assembled components including quality compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wiring in accordance with regulations and electrical engineering drawings/work to samples.
2. Install, test, commission, maintain and build electrical systems and components.
3. Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
4. Locate and repair faults in electrical power supply equipment.
5. Carry out mechanical fitting and relevant assembly work.
6. Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
7. Correctly instruct, supervise and transfer skills to any apprentice and semi-skilled led worker assigned to you to ensure safety and quality of work.
8. Test all products safely.
9. Use safety equipment, PPE and protective devices and equipment.

Person Specification:

1. Minimum of 3 years experience working as an electrical fitter.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring.
3. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
4. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment.
5. Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and codes.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
