Electrical Engineer - Scotland (part-time)

Job Purpose

We have a part-time position for a qualified Electrical Engineer covering Scotland. The role holder will be responsible for carrying out site surveys and minor works installations at commercial EV charging locations, as well as pro-actively maintaining existing equipment on Roam's sites.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Carry out in-depth site surveys to assess for available power allowing for the completion of accurate, high quality quotes and estimates.
2. Work pro-actively with Sales and Account Management to manage surveys and site visits for installations.
3. Work with Customer Services to provide pro-active and re-active maintenance on existing sites.
4. Minor works installations.
5. Commissioning of both A.C and D.C chargepoints.
6. Quality assurance reports on our sub-contractors installations.
7. Test and inspection using NICEIC portal.
8. Act as a brand ambassador and representing EVC at site visits.

Skills And Experience

1. Experience working with large scale commercial/industrial building supply and understanding of how to utilise this supply to suit our installations - E.
2. Previous experience installing electric vehicle charging points whether commercial or domestic - E.
3. Maintenance Engineer experience - E.
4. Understanding of a wide variety of commercial electrical installations.
5. Communication is key both with the office and while dealing with clients as a Roam representative.
6. Drive, commitment, and desire to learn and progress in a fast-paced changing industry.
7. Pro-active, and responsive approach to all work.
8. Team player, positive attitude.

1. City and Guilds 18th Edition - E.
2. 2391 Test And Inspection - E.
3. Full, clean driving licence - E.
4. 2396 Electrical Design Course - D.
5. ECS/CSCS cardholder - D.
6. 2919-01 EV Charger Course - D.
