An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on marine technologies. This full-time role involves a mix of UK-based work and international travel, where you'll design, build, and maintain sensor suites for marine surveillance. Ideal candidates will possess strong electrical engineering skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work at heights in various outdoor conditions. Join a forward-thinking company that values innovation and offers competitive benefits, including BUPA cover and stock options. If you're ready to take on challenges in an engaging environment, we want to hear from you!
This full-time, permanent position entails a mix of UK-based work and foreign travel to design, build, deploy, maintain, and recover sensor suites that gather data for marine surveillance.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of networking and communication equipment.
Primarily you will be based in Surrey, for hands-on workshop-based build phases of projects, with travel required across the UK and abroad to deploy and maintain the sensor suites.
When working away, locations are generally remote and range from the cold and wet of the Shetland islands to the heat and humidity of tropical islands. Much of the work is outdoors and ranges from the physicality of assembling scaffold poles and handling moderately heavy pieces of equipment to the dexterity of terminating ethernet cables (all of which may have to be done in inclement weather).
A large amount of the work is at height, whether that's on a cliff top, a lighthouse or up a mast - the ideal candidate must be ok working at height.
If you are an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work with emergent technologies in the marine industry, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to join our client's dynamic team.
