Qualified Electrician needed for a large data centre specialist. Working alongside the network / ICT Data Centre Engineer, you will provide the electrical expertise to the data centre.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment installation and troubleshooting.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance of critical infrastructure including power, cooling, and network systems.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain all HV and LV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and BMS.
- Conduct HV switching operations as per Safe Systems of Work.
- Respond promptly to technical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs.
- Maintain up-to-date records and logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee and execute hands-on preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, either directly or through vendor management, including managing the permit to work system (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems).
About You:
- Qualified Engineer - 17th or 18th Edition.
- You will come from a critical background or other engineering maintenance environments, such as pharmaceutical, power stations, banking, industrial, or maritime engineering.
- You will have hands-on experience covering the planned and reactive maintenance to single & three-phase power, UPS, power generators, lighting, HVAC plant, air conditioning, etc.
- Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings is beneficial.
