Brief

Electrical Engineer needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Smethwick who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Engineer that takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate must hold a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent and have a keen interest in being an Electrical Engineer. If you have your 2391 Inspection and Test that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

• The candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase) in a NHS Environment.
• The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially lighting and small power (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner. There will be a requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised.
• Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures).
• Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental).
• Carry out appropriate risk assessments before undertaking any work.

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Engineer:

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent.
• 18th Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671.
• Experience of working with HTM's.
• Have experience of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working on electrical systems.
• 2391 Inspection and Test (Desirable).
• MEWP 3A & 3B (Desirable).
• HV Knowledge/Experience (Desirable).
