Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Oxford

Salary: £43,000 - £45,000

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for an electrical engineer to join their team on a renowned contract based in Oxford. This role will allow the electrical engineer to find a position outside of London, avoiding the hassle of commuting. The role provides the opportunity to gain more experience within maintenance through further training and potential internal progression.

This position follows a Monday - Friday pattern on a state-of-the-art commercial property, focusing on PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, alongside any remedial works and emergencies on site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer with outstanding knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Duties:
  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), Shutdowns, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, Water Treatment and BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity, and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Reports
  • Permits to work
  • Raise and close jobs on PDAs as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering - City and Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent)
  • Ability to fault find, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial maintenance
