Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to provide and deliver a service that ensures the continuous maintenance of all environmental conditions related to building systems. This encompasses planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks, reactive responses, and addressing breakdowns in all Electrical/Mechanical systems within the site.

The Electrical Engineer is entrusted with ensuring strict adherence to the Client site procedures and standards, emphasising efficiency and safety in the completion of all planned and reactive manual handling tasks.

By upholding these standards, the role contributes significantly to creating a seamless and reliable operational environment for the client and their facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. To comply with the company and client Health & Safety policies
2. To wear personal protective equipment as required, when carrying out specific duties
3. Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical and mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists
4. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items
5. Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order
6. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE always
7. Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance
8. Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI’s/SLA’s
9. Ensure Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g. Tririga, is kept up to date and that PPM and remedial tickets are closed out with accurate data captured

1. Ability to manage multiple high-level, time-sensitive projects simultaneously with superb attention to detail
2. Ability to work on own initiative and operationally as part of a team
3. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
4. An understanding of the financial services sector
5. Proactively planning schedules and itineraries to consider multi-time zones, conflicting calendars etc.
6. Professional, committed, conscientious, pro-active and innovative.
7. Numerate, accurate and confident and can work on own initiative
8. Strong communicator able to communicate with clients, operations, suppliers, and team with prior client facing experience
9. Positive attitude to change and ability to be flexible to the changing priorities of the role
10. Ability to prioritise workloads appropriately
