Electrical Designer

Addison Project Plc is seeking a contractor to provide Electrical Design services for a period of 12 months based in our Middlesbrough Office.

Workscope

1. Electrical Design, including cables and supports
2. Design of electrical (LV) supplies and switchgear
3. Support HV design
4. Design / Specification of MCC and Layout
5. Preparation of block diagrams, termination diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, earthing diagrams, DB SLD's.
6. 2D/3D Cable routing drawings & layouts
7. Preparation of I/O & cable schedules
8. Verification & checking of documentation & drawings
9. Vendor liaison
10. Communication with Addison Project internal multidiscipline teams
11. Site meetings and surveys

Person Specification

1. You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC preferably a degree.
2. Experience completing electrical or control and instrumentation design
3. It is essential that you have experience of electrical design with respect to MMC, LV distribution, lighting and earthing preferably within the Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or Oil and Gas sector.
4. A good working knowledge of ATEX Directives for selection and installation of control and electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas would be beneficial.
5. You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders.
6. Appreciation of cable calculations.
