Positions are from Senior to Principal, depending on experience.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer?

1. Developing electrical systems ranging from lighting to small power, to distribution.
2. Conducting electrical calculations, validation, and verification.
3. Reviewing electrical documentation, specifications, and requirements.
4. Assessing electrical changes and conducting impact assessments.
5. Engaging with client's international partners and customers.
6. Mentoring team members on a 1-1 basis to help with their progression and further education. (For Principal Engineer Level)
7. Assessing and verifying work packages. (For Principal Engineer Level)

What are we looking for in our next Electrical Design Engineer?

1. Degree qualified within the Electrical Engineering Discipline.
2. Chartered / Incorporated with the IET or working towards.
3. Strong understanding of electrical design.
4. Previous experience managing and mentoring a small team. (Essential for Principal Engineer Level)
5. Experience within the Marine / Defence sector. (Essential for Principal Engineer Level)
6. Experience with electrical software / modelling packages.
