We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer to join our client's team in Dorset. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who thrives completing challenging projects, with a keen interest in a diverse electrical & electronics engineering hardware focused role.

Position: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £35-50k - Dependent on Experience Level

Working Hours: 37-hour week - 1pm Friday Finish - Additional Friday off per month (on top of holiday), 25 Days + BH to start, increasing to 30 with service

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

1. Design & development of complex electrical schematics for bespoke projects
2. Designs will incorporate robotics, switchgear, electronics and some PCB

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

1. Electrical safety experience highly beneficial
2. Experience of an industrial electrical CAD package i.e. AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, Solid Edge or SEE Electrical
3. Experience of Electronic Engineering, Circuit Design, and Electrical Engineering
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work individually and as part of a team
5. Skilled at working collaboratively with customers and suppliers
6. Knowledge of hardware, power systems and control electronics

Any additional experience of the defence sectors is highly advantageous. Applicants should note you will be working on defence projects; therefore, a Security Check will be carried out. You are required to be a British passport holder for this reason (not essential to be British born).

This company is offering a position within their established team, inside a supportive and family friendly environment. They have set up a system offering additional paid holidays to ensure a healthy and happy workforce. You begin with 25 days allowance + bank holidays. After two years' service this increases to 27, with an additional day per year to 30 days. Every Friday is a 1pm finish. Each month every member of staff is given one additional Friday off.

Weekend work or overtime is incredibly rare. Please note this role must be office based - remote or hybrid is not an option.
