Attention all Electrical Design Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are recruiting for a highly skilled electrical design engineer for a contract position with a leading international consultancy. The role will entail working on Government framework projects across education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, and some aviation aspects.

Our client is a well-respected design, engineering, and project management consultancy, which offers services in a variety of sectors such as energy, defence, industrial, transportation, and education.

Key responsibilities:

1. You will be responsible for reporting to the design lead, whilst also providing support and guidance throughout the process to others.
2. Prepare electrical diagrams and detailed technical documentation.
3. Liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
4. Participate in site visits and attend client meetings to offer expert advice and ensure the successful implementation of electrical designs.
5. Review and approve contractor electrical designs, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards.
6. You will also be responsible for dealing with a mix of report writing and design.

Key requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
3. Eligible for security clearance/or the ability to obtain (British passport holder and UK resident for 5+ years).
4. Relevant certifications or professional memberships such as Chartered Engineer status are an advantage.
5. Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or equivalent tools).
