Job description

Electrical Engineer
Location: Aldgate
Salary: £43,000 + Benefits + £2k HV allowance
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

A leading Facilities Management company is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site team. Working within a commercial building environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out scheduled PPMs on electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently.
  3. Perform fault diagnosis, repair works, and minor installations.
  4. Test and inspect electrical systems, including emergency lighting and fire alarm checks.
  5. Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  6. Accurately complete job reports and update service logs.
  7. Support other engineers and contractors on-site where required.
Candidate Requirements
  1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  2. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  3. 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing (desirable).
  4. Experience in a commercial FM environment.
  5. Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently.
