Job Title: Site Based Manager – Structured Cabling | Data Centres | Client-Facing

Location: East India Dock Road

Salary: £280 per day

Contract Type: Contract

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in Structured Cabling within data centre environments. This is a client-facing role, requiring a professional who can manage structured cabling projects while overseeing small Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) packages to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee end-to-end project delivery for structured cabling installations within data centres.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
3. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
4. Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
5. Coordinate small M&E packages alongside structured cabling projects as required.
6. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and company policies.
8. Report on project progress, KPIs, and financial performance to senior management.

Required Experience & Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Manager in Structured Cabling within data centre environments.
2. Basic understanding of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems.
3. Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards, including fibre optics, copper cabling, and containment solutions.
4. Experience managing projects from inception to completion, including budget control and risk management.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working in client-facing roles.
6. Knowledge of relevant compliance and industry regulations.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are desirable.
