About the role
As an EC&I Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems of the plant to ensure optimum performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting EC&I systems across the EfW facility.
- Supporting the installation, commissioning, and testing of new EC&I equipment.
- Monitoring and diagnosing plant performance, using SCADA and DCS systems to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before they arise.
- Supporting plant shutdowns, ensuring that all EC&I systems are fully operational and safe.
- Collaborating with the operations and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment performance.

What We Are Looking For:- ONC/HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation or a related field.
- Proven experience as an EC&I Technician in a heavy industrial or energy-from-waste environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of EC&I systems, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and fault finding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and development
