Job description

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Electrician or Air Conditioning Engineer with crossover skills who will be efficiently operating and maintaining new and existing building Electrical and/or HVAC services, carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive Maintenance, conducting diagnostic checks and fault finding. Participate in out of hours call-out rota and complete all work-related documentation accurately on time. The role is a permanent position paying between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on qualification and experience level.

Van supplied. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week. On-call rota TBA.

Responsibilities:
  1. Routine PPM tasks in accordance with the SFG20 framework.
  2. Maintenance and electrical compliance checks/PPM.
  3. Reactive maintenance and electrical repairs or Air conditioning repairs as required.
  4. Minor new works and complete required certification as necessary.
  5. Attend site meetings or training when required.
  6. Be proactive when on site.
  7. Willing to undertake other duties in line with contract deliverables.
  8. Cooperate with other disciplines for the provision of multi-discipline services where required.
  9. Procure materials and equipment to carry out works through the Supervisor or Manager.
  10. Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.
  11. Be part of a callout rota with additional remuneration.
  12. Support contract mobilisation and change management.
  13. Assist the site team in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site.
  14. Ensure clients' operational procedures are always adhered to.
  15. Obtain appropriate authorisation for access into restricted areas from the client's representative as and when required.
  16. Complete risk assessments and worksheets for works undertaken and obtain authorisation from the Clients representative.
Requirements:
  1. Experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment including HVAC systems and lighting is desirable.
  2. Electrical or Air Conditioning Specific Qualification (F-Gas Category 1, City & Guilds 2079).
  3. 18th edition qualification.
  4. Experience working on commercial equipment, not domestic installers.
  5. Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.
  6. Be proactive and have the ability to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
  7. Ability to record work accurately on worksheets and computer-based systems.
  8. Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
  9. Flexibility and adaptability to change/flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
  10. Proactive and positive approach to work.
  11. Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
  12. Able to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg.
  13. Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment; able to work at height.
  14. Must hold a full UK driving license.
