Job description

A well regarded and friendly law firm based in Liverpool is looking for an experienced Employer Liability / Public Liability (EL/PL) Solicitor to join their dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with strong expertise in EL/PL litigation to take on a challenging and varied caseload. The firm is known for its supportive environment and is offering a great role with flexibility in working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of Employer Liability and Public Liability claims from inception to settlement.
  • Handle both pre-litigated and litigated cases, ensuring that all procedural and statutory deadlines are met.
  • Draft legal documents, including claims, responses, and other case-related correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, insurers, and experts to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  • Prepare cases for court, ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and other relevant legal guidelines.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients, offering high levels of client care.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant legal precedents, legislation, and case law.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure best practice and case progression.

Requirements:

  • 3 years PQE or equivalent in EL/PL litigation.
  • Proven experience managing a full caseload independently.
  • Strong knowledge of Employer Liability and Public Liability law and litigation processes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of client care.
