Job description

A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for an EHS Manager / HSE Manager to assume responsibility for health & safety, environmental management, and sustainability strategies for a 200+ site. You will drive a culture of safety, ensure compliance with regulations, and implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve site security. Driving employee engagement is a key objective.

EHS Manager / HSE Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead the HSE agenda on–site, ensuring all standards and regulations are met and exceeded.
  • Act as the go–to expert for all health, safety, and environmental matters, providing technical and legislative guidance.
  • Develop and implement site–wide HSE policies, ensuring alignment with UK and Group strategies.
  • Oversee incident investigation processes, ensuring proper root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Conduct internal audits, maintain compliance with BRC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop training and coaching initiatives to enhance HSE knowledge and compliance across all levels.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies (EA, HSE, auditors, customers, and local authorities) to ensure best–in–class compliance.

You will be an EHS Manager / HSE Manager used to working in a manufacturing environment. Food / Packaging / Heavy equipment experience will be deemed advantageous.

NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification is essential.
