An established industry player is seeking an experienced EH Housing Officer to join their local authority team. This part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week, involves managing a diverse caseload related to housing standards and pollution control. You will leverage your expertise in HHSRS assessments and local authority regulations to address customer concerns effectively. Our local authority client, based in Surrey, is looking to appoint an experienced EH Housing Officer. You must be able to show experience in working in a local authority regulatory capacity for housing and ideally pollution control work including HHSRS assessments of dwellings, HMO licensing, and investigating complaints of poor standards of accommodation.
The assessment for statutory nuisance from residential, commercial and industrial sites would be an advantage. You will need to manage a wide-ranging case load, be responsive to customer requests, and provide updates both verbally and via written reports.
You must be proficient with local authority IT; in this case, knowledge of the Idox suite of software would be an advantage.
It is essential that you hold the HHSRS Certification and have at least 2 years of experience working within this field.
This contract is due to start at the beginning of April and will continue for at least 3 months. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, and pay rates will start from £45 Umbrella.
