Senior Finance Business Partner - Digital

We want to become the leading home improvement company and grow the largest community of home improvers in the world. We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support the Group Digital & Ecommerce Director and COE leadership team across Ecommerce, Marketplace & Retail Media. You will play a key role in developing the e-commerce business performance finance activities and will be able to interpret and present financial information to key stakeholders to a high standard, providing value add advice and challenge.

You will advise, challenge, support and connect with senior group stakeholders. A key element of the role is to develop finance deliverables to best understand the financial performance of our channels across our banners (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama etc). They will need to raise standards across all financial decision areas taking a forward-looking, commercial and value focused approach to assist in the articulation of options and the optimisation of financial outcomes.

What's the job
  • Business Partner the Digital Leadership Team, playing a key role in the success of implementing the Digital strategy.
  • Launch, scale and expand our Marketplace offer across our Banners in a profitable way, leading the marketplace P&L, understanding performance and driving action.
  • Support the launch of our Retail media, understanding financial performance.
  • Understand the drivers of channel profitability by banner to communicate performance and allow actions to be taken to enhance future profitability.
  • Work with key Digital functions and Banners to develop and improve our group reporting of e-commerce, providing commercial challenge as required.
  • Ensure Digital costs (plans and actuals) are visible and clear to key partners and proactively manage to targets.
  • Support the Digital Leadership team in the strategic long term plan process, informing Digital guidance to Banners and supporting the Group Digital and Ecommerce director in delivering the Digital LTP to the Group Exec.
What you'll bring
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Significant business-facing or commercial finance experience with business partnering background.
  • Dynamic individual with the ability to analyse complex data with sound rationale and intellectual rigour.
  • Strong people management experience.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and deploy it effectively across the organisation.
  • Proactive approach to driving efficiencies and improvements across teams with a proven history of change management.
  • Positive attitude, paired with a strong analytical approach.
  • Able to work with ambiguity & be comfortable with change.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
