As a police officer, you will be serving communities in Suffolk, delivering outstanding policing while ensuring people’s safety and security. Your work will be a combination of visible patrol duties, responding to emergencies and engaging with the community to provide support, guidance and enforcement. You’ll be part of our dedicated team focused on delivering effective policing, ensuring justice and providing reassurance to the public.

Working for Suffolk police is different every day, but your responsibilities will include the following:

• Carry out regular patrols, respond swiftly to emergency calls, and engage with the public to promote safety and awareness.
• Investigate and collect evidence on reported crimes, ensuring cases progress efficiently through the justice system.
• Collaborate with community leaders, local agencies, and other services to foster positive community relations and build public trust in policing.

Vetting and background checks will be part of the application process, so you will need to:
