**About the role**We’re looking for an experienced **full-stack Python engineer** to join us as the newest member of the Internal Tools team.Our mission is to deliver tools that maximise the effectiveness of employees at Lendable. The team supports both our Operations function and our knowledge workers (Product, Engineering and Data. We have a strong focus on both **Generative AI** / **LLM** adoption as well as more traditional web applications.Scaling sustainably and profitably is a key area of focus across all areas of our business. We’ve taken our first big steps towards achieving our goals by:* Using **LLMs** **to provide a co-pilot** for customer service agents, helping them get the right answer faster * **Deploying** **an** **in-house hub** for productivity tools, aiming to **reduce the friction** of accessing and using LLMs for employees.* **Delivering many smaller tools** to replace manual processes in fraud, investor management, ops and elsewhere* But there is plenty more to do in this space and we’re looking for someone who can get stuck in and deliver value in a rapidly evolving, and often ambiguous space, working closely with product and end-users to **find impactful solutions.****What we're looking for*** Solid experience with **Python in a web application** **context**. You have some experience with web frameworks like **FastAPI**, **Django** or **Flask**, we use **FastAPI**.* Experience with **Javascript/Typescript** and a **modern** **JS framework** such as **React**, **Angular** or **Vue.js**. We generally use **React** & **NextJS*** **Strong engineering principles & practices**: design patterns, testing, clean code and a good reviewerPrevious **experience working in a product-focused team*** A keen desire to want to learn and input into **a highly collaborative team*** A desire to learn about and experiment with **Generative** AI and **LLMs** (actual experience is a plus)The following are also a plus, but by no means essential.
