Job Description

We are currently partnering with a well-established Housing Association operating across Cornwall, who are looking to appoint a Project and Technical Manager on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

This is a full-time role based across Cornwall, with the Head Office located in Redruth. The position offers hybrid working (1-2 days per week from home) and a salary of £42,000.

While the ideal candidate will have an HNC/HND or RICS qualification, we welcome applications from those with relevant experience, even if you don’t meet the formal qualifications.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the Head of Property Investment and Compliance with ongoing programs of work
  • Leading the procurement and re-procurement process for various maintenance projects, with an annual value of up to £5 million
  • Conducting site visits to ensure works are in line with specifications and compliance standards, and addressing any concerns with site managers and contractors
  • Managing a programme of post-inspections to maintain ongoing oversight of works
  • Keeping up to date with legislation concerning CDM Regulations, Fire Safety, and HHSRS, while providing technical support to colleagues across the organization

Required skills, knowledge, and expertise:

  • Experience in Repairs Contract Management
  • Knowledge of the Big 6 Compliance areas
  • Budget forecasting skills
