Weekend Catering volunteer

ROLE:

We are looking for friendlycatering volunteers to assist the catering staff with washing up, vegetable preparation, making sandwiches and keeping the kitchen and cafe clean and tidy.

We are currently looking for Saturday and Sunday volunteers (flexible times available).

KEY TASKS:

Tasks may include (not exclusively)

• Washing up
• Assisting the catering team in the preparation of meals, ensuring that high standards of food hygiene are maintained
• Peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients
• Serving meals for patients and staff
• Assisting the catering team in the receipt of deliveries and their subsequent storage
• Undertake cleaning activities to ensure that the kitchen/café and equipment is maintained in line with Environmental Health regulations and Farleigh Hospice standards
• Keeping the café tables clear and clean
• Restocking fridges

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Physical ability to fulfil the requirements of the role including safe moving and handling
