Transport Manager

As the Transport Manager, you will be working for a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This is initially a contract role for 6 months, with a daily rate of £350-400/day. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.

The Role

To manage all functions of the transport operation within the waste collection and street cleansing fleet, ensuring a full and effective control is placed upon the management of the fleet and the company’s operator licence. You will work closely with the other transport managers in a joined-up approach. The position is the focal point for the provision, use, and safety of vehicles and plant and their operators. Ensuring that all functions related to the law and legislation of the operator licence are met and that procedures and instructions are disseminated and followed.

Experience

1. A background in waste collection / Operations is desirable.
2. Standard National road transport CPC minimum.
3. Ability to accommodate flexible working patterns.
4. Clean license with a C category preferable.
