Payroll Administrator

Location: Camborne
Salary: £23,876.84 - £24,069.24 FTE (CC24 - CC28)
Terms & Conditions: Full Time or Part Time as part of job share (16 / 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year), Support Contract. Initially Fixed Term Contract, 6 - 12 months

About the Role

Based at our Camborne campus, we are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our small and friendly team. The Payroll Administrator will play a key role in the efficient and accurate administration of payroll within a fast-paced department. Key responsibilities will include data entry and validation, responding to payroll and pension-related queries, assisting staff with navigating the integrated HR & Payroll system, and handling various administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, process and check starters, leavers and changes within the payroll system and all related administrative tasks.
  • General data input within payroll system, including payroll calculations.
  • Review, process and check manual and online claims.
  • Maintaining the high level of customer service provided to colleagues from a payroll, reward and pension perspective.
  • Maintaining all pension related responsibilities and tasks from an employer's perspective.
  • Statutory processing - Keeping up to date with all legislative requirements and processing such as applying tax codes, national insurance amendments and court orders.
  • Month end reconciliations and clear down of the Payroll system.
  • Statutory reporting - Ensure all regulatory and legislative requirements are met by reporting all Payroll and Pension information in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

Applicants must have experience of working within a payroll, finance or HR based position with workable knowledge of payroll processing. Experience of payroll and pension processing is desirable, along with experience with the system iTrent.

Hours of Work

This role can be carried out by one person on a full-time basis (37 hours per week, Monday - Friday), or by two people on a job share basis (2.5 / 2 days per week x2, Monday - Friday, days to be agreed). Please note, this role is initially on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a minimum of 6 months from the start date of employment, however this could be extended/made permanent depending on business requirements.
