We have an exciting opportunity for an Ocean Freight Operator to join a well-established freight forwarder renowned for their expertise in air, road, sea, and warehousing services. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about logistics and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As the Ocean Freight Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our team, ensuring that every shipment is handled seamlessly. You'll oversee the end-to-end process of ocean import logistics, from tracking shipments and managing documentation to coordinating with customs and resolving any issues that arise. Responsibilities

Oversee & Independently handle shipments in the role of Ocean freight Imports & Exports in accordance with quality standards, including documentation, booking, shipment control, transport insurance, accounting, and customs handling
Provide customer support in conjunction with the Sales Department, including occasional client visits when required
Handle complaints in line with BIFA Terms and Conditions, including correct KPI recording
Communicate with our UK, Overseas offices, and agents
Focus on ensuring the most cost-effective service solutions are being utilized without risk to service levels

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years' experience working within Freight forwarding with a UK based freight forwarder.
Previous experience in Ocean freight
Able to handle shipments from start to finish
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
