Position Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Dunton, Essex

RATE: Negotiable dependant on experience

INSIDE IR35 Umbrella PAYE

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Automotive OEM, based in Essex, who are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team.

Position Description:

• Senior Quality Engineer
• To be a key member of the European High Voltage Powertrain Quality Team.
• Tracking High Voltage quality data with VO Plants and identifying quality trends across HV commodities.

Skills Required:

• Quality reporting & working with VO plants on claim binning.
• Being able to use Excel to an advanced level.
• Being able to use the Clients' system to plot out quality data, both R/1000 and CPU.
• Identifying trends and being able to interpret the data and engage with the team to contain issues and track these containment in the Client system.
• Experience of the Clients' ECB system. Ability to work within a diverse team is critical.

Skills Preferred:

• Six Sigma, Knowledge of high voltage systems.
• Able to use the Client system to track warranty claims and plot R/1000 and CPU data across commodities.

Experience Required:

• Previous quality organisation experience.
• Experience using the Clients' systems to enable a very fast integration with the team and the VO plants.
• Experience reporting out at all levels within the Company.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience or working within vehicle engineering teams.
• Knowledge of vehicle design and development to enable robust containment actions.
• Experience of working with suppliers.

Education Required:

• GCSE/O-Level & A-Level.

Education Preferred:

• Degree.

• You will be working within a small dedicated team of 11 engineers who are motivated to ensure the Clients' EV quality is class leading.
• The team works with a start-up launch mentality, working the hours that are required to get the best possible job done.
• This role is key for understanding the quality reporting of the department, identifying issues as early as possible and containing them as fast as possible.
• Our Client is using modern data, quality AI tools and data from unsold vehicles to protect the customer and identify/contain issues as fast as possible.
• The team is looking for a highly motivated individual that can bring innovative ideas on how the Client can take EV quality to the next level.
