Are you passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing of young people?

We are seeking a dedicated Child Wellbeing Practitioner to join our dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people at a school in Birmingham!

About The Role

You'll deliver evidence-based interventions in schools and colleges, providing vital support to young people experiencing emotional health and wellbeing challenges. You'll be part of a supportive team, encouraged to innovate and contribute to a creative, child-centred environment.

Main Responsibilities And Duties (during And Post-training)

  1. Deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions to children and young people.
  2. Conduct holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
  3. Work collaboratively with mental health professionals, school staff, and external agencies.
  4. Evaluate intervention effectiveness.
  5. Maintain accurate records and ensure high standards of patient care.
  6. Liaise with Senior Mental Health Leads in schools and colleges.
  7. Empower children, young people, and families to make informed choices about their care.
Essential Criteria

  1. Evidence of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  2. Psychology or other health/social care/youth-related undergraduate degree.
  3. Proven IT skills.
Desirable Skills

  1. Experience of working in mental health or related services.
  2. Knowledge of the education system.
