On September 20th 2017, Amazon.co.jp announced the launch of “Amazon Business”, a new marketplace to meet the procurement needs of businesses of every size – from small business to large multi-national organization, as well as institutional buyers like universities, schools and public offices.


Amazon Business Japan is seeking a Pricing Program Manager to lead our strategic pricing initiatives. In this role, you will drive the development and implementation of innovative pricing mechanisms that ensure our business customers receive competitive B2B pricing. As the Program Manager, you will be the voice of our business customers, advocating for their pricing needs. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders across multiple functions and locations. You will work with Sales teams, Operations, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and Tech teams. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of achieving results in program management, along with strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Key job responsibilities

  1. Design and execute competitive B2B pricing strategies, managing end-to-end program delivery
  2. Analyze pricing data, develop models, and create business cases for pricing optimization
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement pricing solutions
  4. Track program metrics, and report performance to leadership
  5. Drive adoption of pricing tools while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs
  6. Listen to the voice of Customers and identify business opportunities, especially the Japan specific requirements to deliver a great Customer Experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 2+ years of program or project management experience
  2. 2+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  3. Bachelor's degree
  4. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  5. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  6. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  7. Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  2. 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  3. Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
