Process Expert- Standard Work , EUSC Process Excellence

The EUSC Process Excellence team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person as a Process Expert- Standard Work to help develop a world-class middle mile process that delivers goods on time at the best cost. This position will support Amazon transportation and drive operational excellence and project management across the entire EU Sort Center network. A successful candidate will have experience managing large and complex projects and bias for action needed in a startup environment.


Key job responsibilities
  1. Support to improve the vision, content, and delivery of standard work and leadership routines. Own the overall L3+ leadership routines documentation, integrating process improvements and support function standard work into one clear routine that evolves as the business develops.
  2. Quality Control: Provide overall governance of the Process Excellence documents in Policy 2.0 and manage quality control system to ensure regular updating cadence adherence and changes are made in a timely manner.
  3. Own the standardization of all under the roof metric bridge requirements and clear integration into leadership routines.
  4. Optimize and integrate M3 standard work into the core L3+ leadership routines and standard work. Identify opportunities to integrate M3 metrics, bridge requirements, meetings, and standard work activities into existing day-to-day.
  5. Work with the Finance team on the ATS SSM by providing clearly standard work for all under the roof roles and identifying opportunities to optimize standard work and roles. Utilize data analysis to measure specific task time allocation.
  6. Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.

About the team

Standardization Excellence will lay the foundation for operational efficiency and continuous improvement. This team will provide SC operations with simple, clear day-to-day responsibilities and the essential tools for operational execution. We will establish structures that create space and protect operations’ bandwidth, prioritizing value-add activities. Their focus is to remove non-value add and administrative activities, prioritizing a restored focus on operations’ teams as executors.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. A degree in business, supply chain, transportation economics or technical field.
  2. Relevant experience working in supply chain, transportation project management or management consulting role.
  3. Relevant experience in project management or management consulting including handling multiple ongoing projects.
  4. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  5. Travel required (estimated 15%).
  6. Fluency in English required.
  7. Experience managing cross-functional and regional programs by influencing different stakeholder groups at all levels of the company.
  8. Experience with data analysis and working with large data sets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Operations experience in EU ATS.
  2. Basic SQL knowledge.
