This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our QSSHE team, reporting to our Senior Projects QSHE Engineer, and supporting our operation in the Southern North Sea (SNS).

This position is responsible for providing advice and support (including coaching and monitoring) to ensure the necessary quality assurance and control processes are in place and working effectively to prevent financial and HSE risks being introduced to the business through the undertaking of project activities, operational changes and the delivery of third-party services.

This is a permanent staff position working Monday to Friday, based in Norwich.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Develop and maintain quality strategies and quality systems suitable to support the Perenco Onshore and Offshore SNSS operations in SNSS.
  2. Facilitate continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental protection and loss prevention performance.
  3. Facilitate compliance with all QSSHE regulatory requirements and with good practice.
  4. Maintain a register of applicable codes and standards that SNSS that the business is required to comply with in the delivery of its day-to-day operations and project activities.
  5. Provide support to the Projects Group (including those projects/services being delivered by third parties on our behalf) and to other groups (Integrity, Wells and Operations Support) to be sure that quality risks are correctly assessed, identified and managed.
  6. Provide coaching and guidance to the various functional groups in SNS to ensure they are demonstrating the right level of compliance and application with the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS).
  7. Review and approve contractors' quality documentation and implement contractor audits as required and in accordance with the Perenco Procurement processes.
  8. Develop and implement an audit programme to cover 3rd party contractors / service providers.
  9. Interface with the Contracts Group to ensure contracts have suitable provision for QA/QC.
  10. Support the delivery of the Management Assurance (Audit) Programme including development and execution of audit scopes and training/coaching of internal auditors.
  11. Ensure that a fit for purpose management system is in place covering quality, safety, security, health and environmental issues.
  12. Provide leadership to the SNS organisation on quality issues.
  13. Support SNS QSSHE Team in the delivery of day-to-day activities such as Total Risk Management (TRM) Reviews, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments etc.
  14. Provide support (as required) to the wider PUK and Perenco Group business to improve QSSHE standards, processes and systems.
  15. Provide support to SNS QSSHE team to ensure Perenco remains in compliance with their key ISO certification namely the ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001 etc.

Key Requirements Include:

  1. Degree level (minimum HNC) qualification in Science or Engineering.
  2. Preferably qualified Auditor to ISO 9001:2000 or CQI registered Auditor.
  3. Demonstrates a track record of auditing and (preferably) training of other auditors.
  4. Fully versed with ISO 9000, API and appropriate industry codes and standards.
  5. Ideally 10 + years oil and gas QA/QC experience, or minimum 5 years other relevant process industry experience.
  6. 5 + years' experience working within the UK oil and gas regulatory framework.
  7. Good people management skills with the ability to interface with personnel from a range of different teams and companies.
  8. Ability to rapidly understand the key elements of a problem and identify an appropriate solution.
  9. Able to handle complex problems - both people and engineering - in a wide range of different areas.
  10. Ability to communicate effectively on QA/QC issues to all levels of the organisation.
  11. Microsoft Office proficiency.
