An established industry player is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing a high volume of supplier invoices while ensuring compliance with finance controls and tax regulations. VolkerWessels UK is a market leading contracting group of five closely linked businesses.
We provide integrated and ground-breaking solutions for the civil engineering and construction sectors, with specialisms in rail, highways, airports, marine, defence, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure.
Volker Services and its subsidiaries receive in the region of 15,000 supplier invoices a month. These invoices are processed into our finance system and routed for automated approval or three-way matching (PO/GRN matching).
Supplier communication is usually by telephone or email to maintain a high level of customer service both internally and externally. Reporting into our team leader, you will be responsible for processing invoices.
You’ll have previous Accounts Payable experience across reconciliations.
You’ll also have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), coupled with experience in strong customer service, as well as the ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
You’ll also hold GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English – C Grade or above (or equivalent).
