About The Role

The UK Senior Payroll Specialist is a support role within the EMEA payroll team that reports to the UK Payroll Manager. The Senior Payroll Specialist will assist in all aspects of the monthly UK payroll processing, as we are an in-house processing payroll on the ADP IHCM NGUX Platform, as well as supporting other administrative functions within the team.

What You’ll Do

1. Process the FTI UK Payroll for approx. 1,500 UK employees monthly.
2. Collate and process all UK payroll data into ADP IHCM NGUX (Starters, Leavers, Benefits, Bonuses, Overtime, Pensions, etc.).
3. Manually calculate PAYE and NI calculations, Gross to Net.
4. Prepare and issue Maternity Pay Schedules.
5. Calculate SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP & SHPP.
6. Prepare and review the monthly payroll reconciliations and control reports.
7. Issue the monthly payroll files to Senior Management for approval and payroll sign off.
8. Produce final payroll reports to enable the Management Accounting Team to post the monthly payroll journal.
9. Manage the reconciliation of pensions and upload to Scottish Widows.
10. Manage the monthly reconciliations for payments to HMRC and other third parties.
11. Provide earnings data to the Global Mobility team as required.
12. Maintain an understanding of current payroll legislation: RTI and Auto Enrolment.
13. Prepare and submit monthly ONS data.
14. Management of the Modified Payroll.
15. Process P11D’s.
16. Liaise with and maintain good relationships with internal clients on a daily basis - Employees, Benefits team, Finance, HR, HMRC, Pension Provider, Childcare Vouchers, etc.

Basic Skills and Qualifications (or equivalent)

1. Minimum of 5 years payroll experience in the UK with processing volumes of 800+.
2. Experience of dealing with payrolls from start to finish in an in-house processing environment.
3. System knowledge of ADP IHCM is preferred, but must have worked with some form of ADP.
4. Ability to manually calculate PAYE and NI calculations, Gross to Net.
5. In depth knowledge of statutory legislation in relation to: SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP & SHPP.
6. Experience processing P11D’s and modified payroll.
7. Good working knowledge of GL coding/costings.
8. Solid understanding of current pension legislation.
9. In depth understanding of all aspects of parental leave, including Alabaster.
10. Proficiency in MS Office, critically Excel (v-look ups & Pivots).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications (or equivalent)

1. Professional services industry experience is preferred but not essential.
2. Experience of processing Shadow Payroll is preferred but not essential.
