Principal Device Validation Engineer - Flexible IC's
Pragmatic Semiconductor
Cambridge
GBP 40,000 - 80,000
Job description
Want to be pivotal in driving forward Pragmatic Semiconductor's emerging technology? If you are driven, ambitious with a strong background in semiconductor manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you!
Overview
Pragmatic Semiconductor is revolutionising semiconductor fabrication with ultra-low-cost, flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology that makes it quick and easy to embed intelligence almost anywhere. With rapid cycle times that substantially accelerate time to market, its foundry provides high-volume fabrication at a fraction of the cost of silicon, and with significantly lower environmental impact.
Key tasks
Lead collaboration with R&D and production teams to establish and execute detailed validation strategies, including comprehensive master validation plans. This is measured by timely delivery of high-quality validation outcomes aligned with project goals.
Implement and oversee advanced cross-platform setups, utilising a wide range of probes and instruments to efficiently achieve complex testing objectives. This should involve the selection of optimal test structures and methodologies.
Develop and manage sophisticated automated frameworks for large-scale data processing, enabling in-depth analysis and rapid identification of process deviations.
Investigate and optimize production test data, identifying systemic issues and implementing proactive solutions to improve measurement reliability. Our aim is to reduce re-test rates and increase first-pass yields.
Collaborate across disciplines to innovate and refine test structures, contributing to improved process monitoring and advanced testing solutions.
Design and implement state-of-the-art measurement techniques aligned with evolving technological and business demands. This should have enhanced yield predictability with minimal testing as well as deploying impactful testing capabilities (within budget) at its forefront.
Qualifications and training
5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing with specific experience in thin-film or flexible electronics would be very nice to have (although not essential).
Skills and experience
Essential:
Advanced proficiency in Python, Labview, R, or similar languages for automated testing, data automation and analysis; Expertise in statistical methods and data analysis.
Experience with advanced CI/CD processes.
Deep knowledge of electronics and device physics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Some customer facing experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Enthusiasm.
Desirable:
Familiarity with machine learning techniques for data processing.
Proven record in solving manufacturing or device-related anomalies.
Advanced understanding of thin-film components.
Pragmatic Semiconductor is committed to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion; we strive to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams. We celebrate difference and encourage everyone to be themselves at work. Please let us know if you would like any adjustments to our application and interview process.
