Job description

EQUANS are looking for a Mechanical Technician based at Sizewell B power station working on behalf of EDF. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week in Leiston. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will work in a team and be responsible for:

1. Routine plant maintenance, overhaul, and fault-finding work on a wide range of mechanical plant equipment including:

• Pumps
• Air compressors
• Fans
• Drives
• Motors
• Pneumatic controls
• Pressurisation units’ systems.
• Electrical circuits associated with equipment (Optional / desirable)

Industry Qualifications Required:

• City & Guilds Level III or NVQ equivalent is a mandatory requirement
• C&G/HNC or time served equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, factory services or similar subject.

Desirable:

• IOSH managing Safely.

Health & Safety:

• Reads and understands the relevant generic Risk Assessment
• Completes Point of work Risk Assessment
• Ensures appropriate PPE is worn/used and is in good working order
