The role

As Head of HR, you will lead the delivery of HR Business Partnering and Operations. You will line manage an HR Business Partnering team, a Learning and Development Executive and an HR Operations Team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HR Business Partnering. You will lead and role model leading edge HR business partnering; working as the partner to our Tax department, and coaching and supporting our team of HR Business Partners and Advisor. You will truly understand what modern business consultative HR business partnering is and have practical experience in delivering this with senior stakeholders.
  • Leading HR operational delivery. You will be responsible for delivering a high quality and low risk HR service to the business, focussed on an engaging employee experience. You will be an inspirational and knowledgeable people manager to the team responsible for this, focused on empowering and developing them to fulfil their potential.
  • Continuous Improvement. You will take a lead on developing and improving our processes and service offering to the business leveraging our relationships across our Group to drive excellence. You will partner with key stakeholders within the business and work closely with the specialist payroll, reward, recruitment, early careers and learning & development teams within the wider Azets group.

You will be joining a fantastic, supportive team who are truly ambitious about HR's role in driving business success. The role leads an HR Business Partnering team, an HR Operations team and L&D. You also get the opportunity to directly business partner a significant part of our firm. This role will help shape and deliver our people agenda and bring huge value across the firm.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Fully CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Strong HR Business Partnering experience with a good understanding of a business consultation approach to business partnering. Strong professional development in the HR Business Partnering future trends.
  • Significant operational generalist HR experience i.e. employee relations, performance management, reward and a broad and deep knowledge of employment law.
  • Able to contribute to the flex between development of strategy whilst enjoying hands-on operational HR.
  • Excellent people management and people development capability.
  • Passionate about inclusion and diversity.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Immediate credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in complex, fast-moving situations.
  • Diplomatic and sophisticated communicator.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities and be a role model to the team.
  • Ability to manage expectations and build trust and respect with all our people.
  • Existing experience gained within a professional services environment.
