Accountant [Foreign National Candidates Wanted]

Our client is looking for a Full-time Accountant to join their team at their office in Bolton. The role is busy and varied, working for a reputable owner-managed business.

Flexible working hours approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Foreign National Candidates preferred by Client
Client willing to sponsor the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities of the Full-Time Accountant role:

  1. Processing accounts payable and receivable and managing supplier invoices using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other cloud-based accounting software depending on client requirements.
  2. Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and petty cash.
  3. Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  4. Balance sheet reconciliations.
  5. Preparing journals, accruals, and pre-payments.
  6. Reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
  7. Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  8. Providing help and support to the Payroll department.
  9. Supporting the smooth running of the office by providing administrative support to management as requested (answering the telephone and other administrative services).

Successful Candidate For The Accountant Position:

  1. You must have previous experience in a Bookkeeping/Finance role to be considered.
  2. The ability to manage and organise your own portfolio of clients.
  3. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and a flexible approach.
  4. Experience in managing supplier invoices and payments.
  5. Strong skills with Xero and QuickBooks.
  6. Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. A hardworking person who enjoys a stand-alone accounts role within a small office/team.
