My client is a well-established and customer-focused automotive service provider, offering a wide range of services including MOT testing, repairs, and fast-fit solutions. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality service to their customers and are looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician to join their growing team.

Job Description

As an MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician, you will be responsible for performing MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs and fast-fit services such as tyre changes, brakes, and exhaust work. Your role will ensure that vehicles meet road safety standards and that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with regulatory standards.
2. Perform diagnostic checks and identify faults on vehicles.
3. Carry out repairs and fast-fit services, including tyre fitting, brake work, exhaust replacement, and other related tasks.
4. Ensure all work complies with the latest health and safety guidelines.
5. Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and guidance on repairs or maintenance needed.
6. Maintain accurate records of MOT tests, repairs, and parts used.
7. Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring efficient workflow.
8. Work collaboratively with other team members to meet service targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid Class 4 MOT Tester license (essential).
2. Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
3. Experience in fast-fit services, such as tyre changes, brake and exhaust work.
4. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform a variety of repairs.
5. Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
6. A proactive approach to health and safety.
7. Full, clean driving license.
8. Strong communication and customer service skills.
