Site Engineer - Earthworks Scheme (Edinburgh - 5-Month Contract)

Location: Edinburgh
Duration: 5 Months
Rate: £300 - £350 per day (DOE)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major earthworks project in Edinburgh for a 5-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable civil engineering contractor on a large-scale infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting out and surveying for earthworks operations
2. Ensuring quality control and compliance with specifications
3. Assisting with site documentation, reports, and progress updates
4. Managing subcontractors and liaising with project stakeholders
5. Ensuring HSE regulations and site safety standards are met

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or civils projects
2. Proficiency in using GPS, total station, and other surveying equipment
3. Strong understanding of site paperwork, method statements, and risk assessments
4. Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications
5. SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
