JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician who has experience in the manufacture, alignment, service, and repair of prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices.

Working as the Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician, you will be part of the technical team within the multi-disciplinary service in the Manchester Clinic. You will collaborate with Prosthetists and Physiotherapists to ensure a holistic provision of rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be part of a team of six Manchester-based technicians.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician include:

• Manufacture, align, service, and repair prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices
• Consistently achieve quality standards and meet patient appointment deadlines
• Understand the principles of alignment and openly discuss with clinical team members
• Liaise with patients; good communication skills are required
• Record and update production records within our SAP business system
• Work independently and alongside a multi-disciplinary team

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous technical experience in prosthetics or orthotic manufacture
• A strong understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment and proficiency in Information Technology
• A dynamic and proactive approach to self-development, with a keen desire to learn and expand your manufacturing skills
