Health & Safety Manager

Role: Freelance Health & Safety Manager

Rate: £450 per day

Location: North-West London

Duration: 6-9 months

We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a freelance contract with a leading Tier 1 Contractor. This role will be based on a major project in North-West London, where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, driving best practices, and fostering a strong safety culture on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain health and safety policies in accordance with industry regulations.
2. Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) reviews.
3. Provide guidance and training to site teams to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
4. Carry out regular site inspections and audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
5. Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
6. Liaise with key stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to health and safety.
7. Keep up to date with legislation and industry best practices to continuously improve site safety.

Requirements:

1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector, ideally on large-scale projects.
3. Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
5. Ability to work independently and proactively manage site safety requirements.

3. Competitive daily rate, depending on experience
