About Our Client

Our client is a well-established player in the precision manufacturing industry with an FTE of approx 30. Headquartered in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs, they have a wide presence across the globe and are known for their commitment to innovation and quality.

Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the VIC head office, overseeing and approving duties, costs, and performance of key management staff.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, including minimum order quantities (MOQs) and pricing with support from the Procurement team, while securing trade show discounts and funding to maximize business exposure and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes in collaboration with the Procurement team, approving and implementing changes to machinery, designs, or pricing where required to meet business and customer needs.
  • Plan and oversee marketing projects by setting budgets, campaign deliverable dates, and launch timelines, working collaboratively with the team to strategize and execute successful promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Drive sales for industrial machinery by handling customer inquiries and sales calls, preparing and following up on quotes, closing sales, and issuing invoices. Oversee quarterly sales performance, implementing necessary price adjustments and leading promotional strategies while managing the office staff to ensure websites and advertising content are kept up-to-date.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in operational management, leading teams of 30+.
  • P&L ownership of 50MIL turnover business.
  • Multi-faceted management experience across production, engineering, sales, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Technical background with exposure to an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated history working with a Private Equity backed business.
