Account Manager - Managed IT & Telecom Services
Location: Broxbourne, Hertfordshire (Office-Based)
Salary: £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus Structure
Hours: Full-Time

Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider, specialising in IT solutions and telecommunications for businesses of all sizes. With a strong reputation for delivering excellent customer service and innovative solutions, they are now looking for an Account Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, helping to manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of small accounts.

Role Overview:
As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with small accounts. Your main responsibility will be client retention, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional IT and telecom services. You will be the main point of contact for your clients, so excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and retain a portfolio of small accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication and service updates.
  3. Upsell and cross-sell additional IT, telecom, and managed service solutions to clients based on their needs.
  4. Identify opportunities for improving customer service and increasing account value.
  5. Resolve client queries and issues promptly, liaising with internal teams where necessary.
  6. Monitor client satisfaction and ensure they are maximising the value of the services provided.
  7. Achieve quarterly sales and retention targets, contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  1. Proven experience in account management, internal sales, or client retention, ideally within the IT or telecoms industry.
  2. Strong ability to upsell and cross-sell, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  4. Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts effectively.
  5. Ability to build rapport and trust with clients, becoming a reliable point of contact.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
  7. Motivated and driven to meet and exceed sales and retention goals.
